Lithuanian Virtual Servers Hosted in Vilnius
Lithuania, officially the Republic of Lithuania, is the southernmost and largest of the three Baltic states. Its capital and biggest city is Vilnius, and the country is known for its lakes, flat farmland, forests and quiet landscapes, as well as for basketball, which is followed with near-religious devotion. It also has the largest economy of the three Baltic states, with exports that include textiles, wood and furniture, wheat, laboratory reagents, refined petroleum and tobacco products.
That economy runs increasingly online. Manufacturers manage orders through web portals, exporters sell across the EU, and a large financial technology sector has grown up around Vilnius. Each of those businesses benefits from a server that sits inside the country, close to its customers and its staff. A Lithuania VPS gives them exactly that: reserved CPU, RAM and storage, a dedicated IP address and full administrative control, at a price far below a physical server.
Our Tier III facilities in Vilnius are organized around fast network connectivity, stable power and modern hosts. We operate two distinct data centers there. DC I runs on NVMe storage with unlimited bandwidth and supports both Linux and Windows. DC II offers lower-cost SSD instances for Linux with a fixed monthly transfer allowance, ideal when you want the cheapest possible entry point.
Both locations use KVM virtualization, so each virtual private server behaves like its own machine with its own kernel. Combined with DDoS and firewall protection and a 1 Gbps port on every plan, that makes Vilnius a dependable base for websites, applications, game servers and email systems aimed at Lithuanian and wider Baltic audiences.
Vilnius and the Lithuanian Digital Economy
Vilnius has grown into one of the busiest technology cities in Northern Europe. Software houses, shared service centers and international companies' back offices sit alongside a large fintech community, and the city attracts developers from across the region. Kaunas, the second city, adds a strong engineering and manufacturing base, and Klaipėda on the Baltic coast runs the country's main seaport.
All of these businesses depend on reliable web infrastructure. A logistics firm in Klaipėda needs a tracking portal its partners can reach quickly. A Kaunas manufacturer needs a B2B order system for buyers across the EU. A Vilnius startup needs staging and production servers it can rebuild in minutes. A VPS in Lithuania covers all three without the cost of renting whole machines.
Lithuania is an EU member and uses the euro, so data stored on a Vilnius server stays inside the European Union. For companies that sell to EU consumers or handle personal data, that keeps the legal picture simple and avoids awkward questions from customers about where their records live.
Language is another local factor. Lithuanian is the official language, and many users also read Russian, Polish or English. Sites that publish in several of these languages benefit from a server that sits close to every audience at once, and Vilnius, near the borders of Poland and Belarus and a short distance from Latvia, is well placed to do that.
DC I Vilnius NVMe Plans With Unlimited Traffic
The DC I - VILNIUS group is the performance line and the one most customers choose. Every plan uses NVMe drives, ECC memory, KVM virtualization, unlimited bandwidth and a 1 Gbps port. NVMe storage connects directly to the PCIe bus, which gives far lower access times than older drives and makes databases, CMS dashboards and builds feel immediate.
Entry pricing is low. 2 vCores, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe costs $20 a month and is offered with Linux. For $35, you get 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM and 60 GB, the first tier that supports Windows. Then come 4 vCores with 6 GB and 70 GB at $49, and 4 vCores with 8 GB and 90 GB at $76.
The middle of the range suits growing projects: 6 vCores, 10 GB RAM and 100 GB at $97, and 8 vCores, 12 GB and 150 GB at $139. These handle busy e-commerce stores, several client sites under one control panel or a game server with a regular player base.
At the top, 10 vCores with 14 GB and 170 GB costs $169, 16 vCores with 16 GB and 210 GB costs $199, 20 vCores with 24 GB and 310 GB costs $249, and 24 vCores with 32 GB RAM and 410 GB NVMe costs $299. Bandwidth stays unlimited at every level, so traffic growth never changes your bill.
Because DC I plans include ECC memory, single-bit memory errors are detected and corrected automatically. That matters for databases and long-running services, where silent corruption can cause problems that only show up weeks later.
DC II Vilnius SSD Plans for Linux Budgets
The DC II - VILNIUS group exists for customers who want the lowest workable price and are happy on Linux. Instances use SSD storage and a 1 Gbps port with a fixed monthly transfer allowance instead of unlimited traffic.
The smallest plan gives you 1 core, 1 GB RAM, 30 GB SSD and 1,500 GB of transfer for $21.99. At $35.99 you get 2 cores, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD and 2,000 GB. Three plans then share a 2,500 GB allowance: 4 cores with 2 GB RAM and 20 GB SSD at $44.99 for CPU-heavy tasks, 2 cores with 2 GB and 80 GB SSD at $54.99 for storage-heavy ones, and 3 cores with 3 GB and 60 GB at $65.99 as a balanced option.
The largest DC II instance pairs 4 cores and 4 GB RAM with 80 GB SSD and 4,000 GB of monthly transfer for $76.99. That is plenty for a mid-traffic website, a mail server or a small game server.
SSD storage is still a big step up from traditional hard drives, which many older hosting platforms used. It has no moving parts, reads and writes data much faster and keeps your system responsive under load. DC II is therefore a sound choice for Linux projects where predictable cost matters more than maximum disk speed.
Keep an eye on usage in the first month if you are moving an existing site to DC II. Your current host's statistics give a good estimate of monthly transfer, and our team can suggest the right tier if you share those numbers with us.
Choosing Between the Two Vilnius Data Centers
If you are unsure which tab to order from, start with three questions. Do you need Windows? Then DC I is the answer, because DC II is Linux-only. Do you expect heavy or unpredictable traffic? DC I's unlimited bandwidth removes the need to watch a transfer counter. Is your budget the main constraint? DC II may give you the configuration you need for a few dollars less, or with a different CPU-to-storage balance.
Disk-intensive workloads such as databases, WordPress with many plugins, search indexes and CI pipelines benefit most from DC I's NVMe drives. Lighter workloads such as a DNS server, a reverse proxy, a monitoring node or a small API run comfortably on DC II's SSD storage.
Some customers use both. A typical arrangement is a DC I NVMe server for the main application and database, with a DC II instance as a low-cost secondary for backups, mail relays or a staging environment. Because both are in Vilnius, traffic between them stays local.
Whichever you pick, upgrades are available later. Our team supports customers who need to move to a larger plan, with the price difference charged as an upgrade.
Low Latency From Lithuania to Poland and the Baltics
Lithuania borders Latvia to the north, Belarus to the east and south, Poland to the southwest and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad to the west. That position makes Vilnius a natural gateway between the Baltic states and Central Europe, and it gives a Lithuanian VPS short network paths to a wide area.
Users in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Šiauliai get the fastest response times, which shows up in snappier checkouts, quicker logins and smoother streaming. Visitors in Riga and Tallinn are a short hop away, and Warsaw and the rest of Poland are close enough for real-time applications to feel responsive.
Low latency matters most for interactive services: online games, VoIP and video calls, remote desktops and trading tools. Every extra millisecond adds up when a player fires a shot or a trader places an order, and hosting close to your audience keeps those delays small.
For a broader Baltic setup, you can pair a Vilnius server with our Latvia VPS in Riga or with a Poland VPS node. Splitting traffic across two neighboring countries adds redundancy without moving far from your users.
Time zones help as well. Lithuania runs on Eastern European Time, the same as Latvia, Estonia and Finland, so scheduled jobs and maintenance windows line up with the business day across the eastern Baltic.
Lithuanian VPS for Games, Email and Web Apps
A VPS is the right step when a website outgrows shared hosting, typically once it reaches mid-level traffic and starts slowing down at busy times. Moving to a Lithuanian virtual server gives the site its own CPU and RAM, so performance stays consistent no matter what other customers are doing.
Game servers are another common reason to choose Vilnius. Minecraft, CS2, Rust and similar titles need steady CPU time and low latency, and a server in Lithuania keeps ping low for players across the Baltic states and Poland. The higher-core DC I plans are well suited to modded servers or several game instances at once.
Email servers benefit from a dedicated IP and full control over DNS, SPF, DKIM and reverse DNS records. A DC II instance with 2 GB RAM is enough for a small company mail system, while larger DC I plans can host mail for several domains alongside webmail.
Developers also use Vilnius servers for APIs, background workers, VPN gateways, Git hosting and CI runners. With full root access over SSH, or RDP Administrator access on Windows, you install the stack you want without restrictions.
Control Panels and Managed Help in Vilnius
Not everyone wants to manage a server from the command line. For that reason we provide two management panels for Lithuanian servers: cPanel with WHM for Linux-based VPS hosting, and Plesk Obsidian for Windows-based VPS hosting.
cPanel is the familiar choice for agencies and resellers. It handles domains, email accounts, databases, SSL certificates and backups through a browser, and WHM lets you create separate accounts for each client. Plesk Obsidian gives Windows users a clean dashboard for IIS sites, databases and security settings.
If you prefer to hand over day-to-day administration entirely, add our management service. Our engineers then take care of updates, monitoring and routine maintenance according to your plan, and keep an eye on incoming and outgoing traffic so problems are spotted early. You focus on your business while we keep the server healthy.
Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 Pro licenses are also available as add-ons for DC I plans, along with additional IPv4 addresses for projects that need more than one Lithuanian IP.
Hosting Several Websites on One Lithuania VPS
Yes, a single Vilnius VPS can host more than one website. Unlike many shared hosting accounts, a virtual server has no fixed limit on domains; the practical limit is how much CPU, RAM, storage and bandwidth your sites consume together.
On DC I plans, bandwidth is unlimited, so the main thing to watch is memory and CPU. A 4 vCore, 8 GB plan comfortably hosts a dozen typical small-business sites with caching enabled. Agencies managing many Lithuanian client sites often choose 8 vCores and 12 GB or more.
On DC II plans, check the monthly transfer allowance before adding sites. 1,500 to 4,000 GB is generous for brochure sites and blogs, but a busy store or a site serving large downloads may use it faster than expected. If you are close to the limit, moving to DC I removes the concern.
A control panel makes multi-site hosting much easier. With cPanel/WHM or Plesk, each site gets its own account, its own SSL certificate and its own email, and you can manage them all from a single login.
Each extra site also adds a little to backup size and update work. Plan for both when sizing your server, and consider the management add-on if you would rather our engineers handle routine updates across all of your Lithuanian sites.
